Lifeless

He watched the spectators beaming with joy and awe. They clap their hands with blissful oblivion as the ventriloquist moved his limbs and make a grand finale for the magnificent show. The crowd grew wild and the colorful confettis and fireworks were displayed. But the cheers of joy are not for him. But for the Puppet Master who controls every movement he makes.

And then he was placed inside the box haphazardly. His limbs linking with each other in a knot. But he has never been any happier. For that will be time when he will have a life of his own. Not just a puppet that was being controlled in order to please and entertain the crowd.

He lift his upper limbs to pray, and silently wished to God for his freedom.

Dream Catcher

I can still remember how it feels like to get a book signed by an author. And its an exhilarating experience. This family is not an ordinary household. Right after they get married, they have been living in a 1928 Graham Paige vintage car and they travel all around the world to pursue their dream.

And together with that dream, they had their first child. “One dream inside another.”

And I am wondering how it feels to sign your own book.

Morning Beauty

Yesterday, I found myself walking around the hospital compound and was mesmerized by these beauties.

A touch of a golden sun arrayed by brazen red ruffled skirts.

And look at this scarlet beauty hiding from the glare of the sun.

Deep canary yellow fairy vividly dancing with the wind.

The maidens of pure innocence.

A rare beauty surviving alone against the scorching heat of the sun and the infertile land of the desert.

And so am I in this Kingdom.

First Day High

Hi there. It’s been a while. And I have been very busy the last few weeks with my work. In fact, I just got home from my graveyard shift duty. Yes. I celebrated New Year with my colleagues. I never would have thought that my New Year’s Eve would be that happy, but it was a lot more than that. Eventhough I am far from my family, I can still feel the love and care from my fellow nurses. And I am very much grateful to God for that.

My 2012 has been a heartstopping rollercoaster ride. I have shared some laughters and tears. I have also experienced the most heartbreaking moment in my life, but I am still proud of myself for keeping my faith to God and for not giving up in the process. I will never complain with God because I know, He is doing everything for my own good. This 2013, I am only asking Him for His sovereign guidance and Heavenly wisdom to streghthen me in every endeavor I am going to take. I hope that all of you will have a blessed 2013! Happy New Year To All!
